F.A.S.T. 2023

The season of Lent has come. It is an ancient church practice that is a forty-day period marked by contemplation of God, a time to confess our sins, pray for mercy over the way we are and embrace our brokenness. We call this period F.A.S.T which stands for Fresh Attitudes Showing Trust. During our journey to Easter, it is our hope that we may have this as our fruitful outcome together as the people of God.

Daily readings are from the Book of Genesis chapters 37 through 50. Each day has a passage from the Book of Genesis with a title. Read it every morning and come back to it in the evening. Let the Holy Spirit shape your day with the daily readings. Make it your aim to make connections with the Scripture and the title. Arrange an accountability partner to support and be supported by. Check in with each other weekly to offer a listening ear and insights.

Below are the items we will be fasting from week to week. We will be fasting 3 meals a week. The fast does not need to be 3 continuous meals. It can be a lunch one day and a dinner the following day. If you have not fasted before, ease into it. Please keep to the schedule, that way we are doing it together at the same time.

May this season of Lent be a time of fasting that brings us closer to God. May we find the Holy Spirit strengthening us in our weakness, deepening our dependency upon God for everything we need and empowering our witness to show others the love of God, as we have received from our Lord Jesus Christ. May we be a people prepared for Easter to meet our God. Amen.

Do you go to work? Do you go to school? Then you must have questions. Come explore with us as we dive into Scriptures to hear what God has to say to us.

Sunday afternoon  conversations

The Upper Room is the intimate place where Jesus met with his disciples for the Last Supper. We come together to converse about our lives and God through fellowship.
